On October 27, Professor Borgman gave a colloquium: The Knowledge Infrastructure of Astronomy. This talk was focused on the broad adoption of common tools, standards, and technologies which enabled astronomers to construct important infrastructure components. The presented material was drawn from continuing research by our Knowledge Infrastructures project on scholarship in astronomy and a forthcoming book (Borgman, 2015). The Seamless Astronomy Group at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics hosted the colloquium.
