On March 25-27 2015, the UCLA KI team participated to the first edition of the Herrenhausen Conference – Big Data in a Transdisciplinary Perspective, which was held in Hannover, Germany, and sponsored by the Volkswagen Foundation.

Christine L. Borgman was the opening keynote speaker at the conference on March 25. The same day, Irene Pasquetto, our first year PhD student, gave a lightening talk on her preliminary work on open data practices in physical science. Pasquetto also presented a poster on the same topic and was awarded with a travel grant by the Volkswagen Foundation.
