Ashley Sands was recently awarded this year’s Hal Borko Student Award. The prize is awarded to an outstanding graduate student in the UCLA Department of Information Studies who exemplifies professor Harold Borko’s dedication to the information professions. Sands also recently passed her final oral examination for the PhD, and is now focusing on completing her dissertation.
